Domaine de la Tour
AOP Ventoux

Domaine de la Tour, acquired by Gabriel Rey in 1919, lies in a vast amphitheatre at the foot of the Ventoux. It is planted with vines and olive trees and enjoys a magnificent view over the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux.
It has a long history, as this “Domaine de la Tour” was the ancient stronghold of the Serres family (including Olivier de Serres, the celebrated agronomist 1539-1619), originally from the Vivarais who made their fortune in the cloth trade. A branch of the family moved to the Principality of Orange and, knighted by Prince Guillaume the first of Nassau in 1559, obtained the right to the title of “La Tour de Serres”, at the beginning of the 17th century.

Terroir
Le Rocan, or the rock. Here the land is of sand, over rock. A terroir of stones and sand that is perfectly suited to making a lighter style of wine. It has a freshness due to its situation at the foot of the Ventoux, and protected from the strong wind by the range of the Dentelles.
Grape varieties
Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault.
Wine profiles
The wines are supple and fruity and deliciously mouth-watering.
