The vines of Domaine de Font-Bonne, acquired in 1957, sit on a plateau overlooking the Ouveze river, on a west facing clay slope surrounded by garrigue.
Terroir
The hamlet of Font-Bonne is situated on high, stony terraces of clay, sand and safres. Their superb orientation allows the grapes to reach perfect maturity.
Grape varieties
Grenache, Syrah.
Wine profiles
On this terroir the Grenache expresses aromas of preserved cherry and smoky notes. The wines are deep in colour with a very expressive nose even when young, of preserved cherry but also cacao, thyme, and gingerbread. Full and smooth in the mouth with intensely spices notes.
