The agricultural origins of our family date back several centuries. But if a date had to be determined for the birth of our enterprise, it would be 1919. That year, Gabriel Rey, farmer and nurseryman in the Vaucluse, acquired the La Tour winegrowing estate, facing Mont Ventoux, close to the Dentelles de Montmirail. Since then, our family has patiently built up a vineyard that today includes several Domaines in the prestigious appellations of the southern Rhone: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Côtes-du-Rhône and Ventoux.
From generation to generation we have devoted ourselves to reinforcing the identity and the specificity of each domaine. This exceptional mosaic of terroirs, with its vast geological diversity, is our strength. Here we practice sustainable agriculture, respecful of our natural environment and people.
The history of our family is indissociable from that of Château Saint-André-des-Ramières, a former 10th century abbey at Gigondas. All the grapes from our estates are vinified here thanks to modern equipment that enables us to honour the work in the vineyards.
Our team crafts red wines from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault grapes. These wines are mainly sold in bulk to wine merchants and distributors. We work with them to create ‘made-to-measure’ cuvées tailored to their needs.
